about me

I am a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of New Jersey, New York, and Maryland. My experience includes work with children, adolescents, groups, couples, and families. I received my Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University in Washington D.C and my clinical internship at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington. I have a particular interest in cultural ethnic, and religious awareness in therapy as my Doctorate thesis focused on client-therapist cross-cultural relationships.
With a background in Education, I was an elementary and middle school teacher prior to entering the field of psychology. During my clinical training I worked with individuals and couples at the GW Center Clinic and with young children, and their families at Mazique Head Start program in Washington D.C. I conducted play therapy for children ages 3-6, provided parent/family support and consulted with administrators and teachers on a regular basis. During my internship training I participated in multidisciplinary treatment planning teams and provided individual and group therapy to a diverse inpatient population suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. In private practice I continue working with children, adolescents, and adults in different modalities including play therapy, individual, couple/family, and group therapy. I am a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and a verified psychotherapist by Psychology Today.
I currently practice in Tenafly, New Jersey and have in-person and online office hours by appointment only. I use a HIPAA compliant Teletherapy platform for online sessions.
